WAR OF 1812 PENSION APPLICATION RECORD
KNICKERBOCKER Seymour
UNIT: Private Col Mullany's Regiment.
RANK: Capt Whiting's Company, 23rd Regiment, U. S. Infantry His Name was NOT found on the Rolls of the 23rd Infantry.
ENLISTED - DATE & PLACE:
DISCHARGE - DATE AND PLACE: I originally asked for this file because Seymour served with the U. S. Army, like Alvin, and there was no Pension
File Numbers for him.  Just wanted to see what was there.  Turns out that the bulk of the file has to do with
Seymour's request to obtain his Father's revolutionary war pension for his mother.  They were Living in
Canada on 20 April 1854 when he made the request.  His father's name was Samual and he married his mother
prior to 1794; Mother was more than 90 and Seymour was 68 in 1855.
Seymour also claims that he was badly wounded in a battle in Canada;
