FOURTH GENERATION

97. Solomon KNICKERBOCKER was born on 12 Oct 1754 in Salisbury, Litchfield, CT. (1) On 22 Oct., 1789, according to agreement between the heirs of John Knickerbocker of Salisbury, that part of the real estate willed to Solomon was distributed among the other heirs. (Book E, Probate Records, p. 267.)

On 12 Jan., 1799, Solomon Knickerbocker and Anna, his wife, of the town of Freehold, County of Albany and State of New York, sell to Thomas Heath of Sharon, land in Sharon, Conn., set off by heirship from the estate of Bartholomew Heath, deceased, our father. (Land Records Book 12, p. 398).

He was married to Anna HEATH. Solomon KNICKERBOCKER and Anna HEATH had the following children:

child272 i. Hannah KNICKERBOCKER was born in May 1775.(1) She died on 15 Sep 1776 in Lime Rock (Salisbury), Litchfield, CT. (1) Aged 16 months.

Howard: Here are the few facts which I could Garner about Solomon (Salmon)
Knickerbocker's service in the War of 1812:

He was enlisted as a private in the 37th U. S. Infantry in Northeast, NY by
Captain Riley Sevect(?()on 1 Apr 1814. At the time, he was 5'5", blue eyes
and dark hair, he gave his age as 38 and occupation as a shoemaker. He was
living at the time of enlistment in Salisbury, Litchfield county, CT. He was discharged at New London, CT 10 May 1815.

There was also a ***David*** and a Henry who served in the N. Y. State Militia from Salisbury. There are NO pension or bounty claims listed for him.
