Query: I am trying to prove the parents of Solomon Knickerbocker, b. abt 1812 at Salisbury, CT. He m. Clarissa Root at Cornwall, CT on 16 Oct 1832. He lived at Salisbury until at least 1860 and then removed to West Hartford, CT, where Clarissa died in May,1882. Solomon died at Plainville, CT on 31 Mar 1892, and was buried at Ashley Falls, MA with Clarissa. He was remarried to Ruth Atwood Bristol 18 Sep 1884.

I suspect that Solomon's father was Salmon (Solomon) Knickerbocker, son of Lawrence, b. 28 Feb 1773, because of the 1820 census which gave Salmon as the only Kn. in Salisbury and with three young boys. Salmon can be followed through the records due to the unique first name spelling. Chamberlain gave his wife as Lucy Olds, but this has not been documented. I also suspect that Milo and Philo Knickerbocker were the two younger male siblings.

I would appreciate any information regarding Solomon, his parents or siblings. If anyone knows where the source information to the Chamberlain Genealogy is located, many folks would be most grateful.
