He died in , , Ia. He was buried in Asbury Cem, Clayton Co., Ia. According
to the 1900 Census Index Amasa was born 5th month 1819 age 81 yr from
Pa. He was living with daughter Rowina, husband, Edward Fisher & their 8
children.

Info from Beverly K. - Amasa, born in 1823 in Potter Cty, Pa. married Matilda
Ives, also from the same area. There were six children born to this couple.
Sometime after 1860 the family moved to Ia and settled on Bear Creek in the
Clayton Cty area. Matilda died Apr 12, 1886 with cause of death listed as old
age. It is believed that Amasa died in 1897 but where he died has not been
established.

Amacy is buried near the middle of the cemetery. His stone has only his name
on
it with no dates. The stone is a small whte slab. The stone is off to the right
of the upright stone which has both Matilda and Amacy Jr. on it.
